CHEEKY TRIP TO CYPRUS WITH SISTERS

Not sure if it's just me but I'm always a little bit anxious when going on trips with just my sisters, in case there's a bit of an argument or I get annoyed etc. but this trip was surprisingly the opposite!

We are pretty good at time management but I don't know what it was that morning (brain doesn't function well at 5:30am I guess), we totally misjudged the time and were running to the gate! Minus this blip, I do highly recommend booking a hotel near or at the airport if you have an early morning flight just to avoid any stress such as delayed transport etc and giving you ample time to get ready and maybe have something to eat or drink before the flight. Just be very time conscious!

We arrived in Cyprus starving and dropped off our bags at our lovely resort hotel. So first stop was food! Don't be like us and try to walk your little legs to restaurants! Get. the. bus! It's only €1.50. Bad decisions just one after another. We finally chose Seriani Restaurant for lunch and ordered a lot of Mezze food, the waiter was nice and helped us take pictures etc. We picked up some goodies from the convenience store, walked past the beach and took some pictures whilst the sun set. Came back to the resort and was met with welcoming drinks and canapés and spoke with the hotel staff which was pleasant, they made sure that guests felt welcome. We didn't stay for long though, as we felt underdressed and was absolutely freezing, after a refreshing hot shower, we ended the night with some drinks and card games like Big2 and Black Jack.

The next day welcomed us with warmth and sun so we decided to take lots of pictures and also get a bit of a tanning sesh going. Once done we showered and went down to the Harbour and ate at Mare-Mare restaurant and sat on the balcony, the food was great but service was slow, we had a lot of time on our hands though so that was fine. Knowing me I had to buy some souvenirs - I bought myself a bracelet, an anklet and a dreamcatcher at the tourist shop. We headed towards the Archaeological Park however we didn't actually go, we just saw the Medieval Castle and walked up the coastal broad walk to try to see the lighthouse but that was too far, it was also extremely windy and cold so we headed back and stopped off at Gelamo Gelato Caffe (this was legit) which had such good waffles and ice-cream and once we finished we went to the mall.

Our last day was more of a relaxing day, we were feeling for some hot food and decided to lunch at Samisen Japanese Teppanyaki Restaurant, we were craving udon but unfortunately, they didn't have it on the menu, so we opted for sushi instead which was still a great choice. The remainder of the day was spent back at the resort, trying out the spa facility - we went to the jacuzzi, swimming pool and sauna. This holiday had a lot of funny memories, we laughed a lot - running for the bus, a man trying to speak Chinese to us but it was gibberish, funny conversations and much more.

We had planned this holiday and had a list of itinerary but didn't do half the things on it (itinerary below) because of the weather. It was freezing in March, it wasn't the right season I suppose and was just so quiet, I can see why people retire here because it's so chilled and relaxed. But if you love hot weather and partying then go during the Summer months! I would've loved to do all the water sports that we had planned.
