BIG TRIP TO THAILAND

Having not been back in London for even a month since I got back from Cyprus, I was off again to none other than Thailand (Phuket) for 9 days! It was my big trip of the year and I was so excited! It was also my first time going to Asia!
As the planner for all holidays, I looked up tourist spots, restaurants and activities that we could do in Thailand. I found Being Tours & Travel on TripAdvisor with such amazing reviews, I do love a good travel site that's good to the eye and easy to navigate. The site had so many package tours and the service was quick and efficient. We paid for Phi Phi Island, Maya Bay & Khai Island by Speedboat (most popular tour on their site), Phang Nga Bay 4 in 1 Canoe and Maithon Island By Yacht Catamaran. We decided to do a tour every other day, so the days with no plans we could go and explore Phuket.
I'm the type of person that loves hot weather so landing in 30+ degrees heat was amazing. We got to our air-conditioned room and had to take a nap. Feeling refreshed we decided to eat at Coyote Mexican Restaurant & Margarita Bar, the waitress there was very tentative and the food was great. We walked to Patong beach right across from the restaurant and spent a good amount of time watching people parasail whilst the sun set. I've always wanted to try Thai rolled ice cream and couldn't pass this up when I saw it. I picked chocolate and berries, the combination was so good I wish they had it in London! we then explored Thailand's nightlife at Bangla Road, it was packed with bars and restaurants and music blasting from every corner. It was a tiring first day but we were happy to be here.
Our first tour was Phang Nga Bay 4 in 1 Canoe. Out of all the tours, I thought that this was going to be the least favourite of mine but ended up being the best tour. As a sucker for nature, this was one of the highlights of my trip - going through caves and being surrounded by luscious green mountains, emerald green water and birds chirping etc. Our tour guide canoeing was lovely, he went above and beyond for us, taking us to all the sweet spots and doing what others weren't. Please make sure you tip them as it's a strenuous job and it's a way to make a living for them.
The next day we explored Junceylon mall which was huge! You have so many options for food/dessert, clothing and accessory stores, a massive supermarket and just a lot more! I loved it! We're both not fans of Thai food so we opted for Korean food there instead. But I did try Thai BBQ, rice in Pineapple, crab cakes (too spicy) and noodles (can't remember the exact name). Thumbs up for the rice in pineapple and Thai BBQ!
The second tour was Phi Phi Island, Maya Bay & Khai Island which was 50/50, all islands were beautiful and snorkelling was extremely fun but like the site said it was the most popular which meant that there were a lot of people. It was crowded and very busy but other than that, it was good, so I would still recommend these islands as a must to visit!
Talking about things you have to do in Thailand we also went to see a Ping Pong show and unfortunately, this was a disappointment and we left way before it ended but we can at least tick this off our list. (Note: Always try bargain with the people that work for these shows as you can get in cheaper than what they offer.)
The last tour to end our holiday was Maithon Island By Yacht Catamaran. I had such high hopes for this but it didn't meet our expectations at all. There were a few nice surprises on the way to the private island (hailing rain followed by a rainbow and dolphins). The island itself was beautiful however the buffet was not what was advertised, we didn't get a steak etc. but normal buffet food that was cold and swarming with flies which made us lose our appetite. We spent most of our time in the clear blue waters. Just us. Soaking in everything. On our way back, the sunset was mesmerising and I felt so blessed overall to have been able to visit Thailand. Back on ground, the only thing on our mind was steak having not eaten much earlier. I googled restaurants and we ended up going to Chicago Steakhouse just above the Coyote restaurant. It was absolutely fantastic. The best Filet Mignon I've had, we ordered quite a lot as it was our last meal in Thailand and we also got free Malbec which was the icing on the cake to end this holiday. I wish we found this place earlier and ate here a couple of times.
I would definitely come back to Thailand but I think we would probably go to another part such as Ko Samui or Chiang Mai (especially when they hold the lantern festival). This holiday was magical to say the least!
Here's a quick montage of Thailand below.
